Listening is the ability to use one’s ear in an attentive manner for the purpose of learning and communicating, and in a way which is not emotionally disturbing.
It is a doorway to the entire nervous system.
The Tomatis® Listening Therapy is for all ages.
Whether you are a singer, instrumental musician, conductor, actor or anyone in the performing arts or are involved in public speaking, if you are losing the ability to hear certain harmonics in the range of listening, you will not be able to include them in your particular mode of expression, creativity or performance.
The Tomatis Law:
‘The voice can only reproduce what the ear can hear’
applies to anyone, in whatever field of work.
Bohdan Parashchak is an
Alexander Technique Teacher and a member of STAT
The Alexander Technique teaches us to recognise and unlearn the forces of habit without disturbing the nervous system. It allows us to change our reactions to outside stimuli, without causing any unnecessary tension in daily life. When the fear reflexes are activated, no learning can take place.
